Note: Drinking one smoothie isn’t going to protect you from the sun. As I mention in the article, “these nutrient-rich, whole foods may support the health of your skin when exposed to UV light, but keep in mind that they’re not a substitute for sunscreen. Still apply sunscreen every day to prevent sun damage and skin cancer. Think of these foods as a little extra insurance if you happen to oversoak the sun’s rays.”

- 1½ cup green tea, cooled
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup watermelon
- ½ cup cauliflower
- 1 small carrot
- 2 tbsp. hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 3-5 ice cubes
- Place ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. For a thicker smoothie, use 1 cup green tea.
